The Making of A British Fashion Icon

Emma Watson has come a long way from her days as Hermione in Harry Potter. The English actress turned 23 on April 15, and is now one of the hottest fashion icons in 2014.

Since Harry Potter she has presented an Oscar with Joseph Gordon – Levitt, been the face of Vogue and made appearances on the red carpet for over 13 years. In 2009, she was named the face of Burberry—which was a first for the British heritage label's and wore many of the well known Christopher Bailey designs including the famously photographed gold mini dress at the house's runway show during London Fashion Week.

In 2011 she was on the front cover of Vogue, embracing the latest trend at the time, pixie cut cropped short hair and a metallic silver fitted trim dress.

In addition, she is an avid painter, which goes some way to explain her creativity and mix of clothes and accessories when it come to style. Once of her favourite pieces of art is The Farm, a painting, once owned by Ernest Hemingway who brought the artist Miró, his first taste of success outside of Spain.

In 2013 she was on the pulled of the height of hot jewellery fashion with her ear cuff look at the Cannes Film Festival where Emma Watson appeared on the red carpet in a diamond encrusted ear cuff by Repossi and we at Lolo and Galago, loved this trend.

Finally, earlier this year, Emma Watson took to the red carpet in her latest movie Noah where the premier in London was held at the Odeon Leicester Square. People came out to see her, not only to sneak a glance but also to see what style of dress she was wearing. As a leader of fashion, she wore a stunning Ralph Lauren, one-of-a-kind white silk-cady column halter gown, which featured a pleated silk-georgette panel at the hip. White is one of the hottest colours on the runway this year and she complimented it with a tangy tangerine lipstick, Jimmy Choo clutch and Anito Ko  Floating earrings and Jennifer Fisher cuffs.
