Lolo and Galago: International Design and Fashion inspiring Exotic Luxury Jewellery

After months of preparation, Lolo and Galago is both excited and proud to at last showcase our jewellery to the World.
Lolo and Galago was founded on the guiding principle of using International Fashion and Style to inspire our unique and exotic jewellery. After searching the World- from Lolo in the Pacific to Galago in Africa- we have bought together designs and trends from all corners of the Globe and transformed them into stunning contemporary jewellery.

Hand finished to an incredible standard, we have launched with 7 L&G branded collections, with inspiration coming from the likes of the Spice trails of the Middle East, Floral Prints in the Americas and Greek Mythology from the Mediterranean.

We are also excited to announce that we are retailing a beautiful array of jewellery from talented designers we have teamed up with. Tomasz Donocik, Alexander Davis, Sophie Breitmeyer, Jayce Wong and Rosie Reddington’s collections are all available at Lolo and Galago from launch.

We cannot wait to provide our customers with designer jewellery that reflects true contemporary elegance and exotic luxury, and look forward to seeing our customers enjoy their jewellery long into the future.

Behind the Scenes: L&G 2014 Spring and Summer Shoots

Lolo and Galago is just a few weeks away from launching our designer jewellery- and our incredible photos- so we just had to share the fun and excitement we had behind the camera at our latest shoot in London.

Shooting for our launch campaigns, we found ourselves at Studio 9: a gorgeous, contemporary London location that used to be a school. But far from carrying out any maths lessons, Lolo & Galago converted the studio... into our very own Jungle Boutique!

500kg of exotic plants later and after working hard to create our own little piece of paradise thanks to Palmbrokers, our excited models donned some gorgeous dresses from the likes of Forever Unique to bring a contemporary and fashionable look to our exotic jungle.

We wanted to combine the international and exotic flavour of Lolo and Galago with a contemporary, designer feel- a task our creative director, Martin Lear, was assigned. Over 3,000 photos were taken over two days, using contemporary interior design combined with our designer jewellery to make sure we got exactly the looks we wanted.

Our wardrobes were bursting with incredible dresses, tops and shoes all provided by our fantastic stylist Pash from Style Creative, whilst makeup artist Maya made sure our models looked gorgeous with the fantastic looks she created- 2 suitcases worth of cosmetics were needed!

Good fun was had by all as everyone came together to work hard and deliver a fantastic contemporary, designer look to our London based studio.
Our launch photos will be released soon, when you can see Lolo & Galago’s designer jewellery in its full glory.

Lolo and Galago at the Jewellery Show Birmingham

It’s Jewellery time at the Spring Fair! Once again the annual Jewellery show, held at the incredibly vast NEC in Birmingham, showcases the latest trends in contemporary jewellery along with some fascinating exhibits and displays.

Lolo and Galago attended and were thrilled to meet so many talented up and coming designers, with a beautiful range of silver and gold contemporary jewellery designs. We were treated to a live exhibition by Trollbeads featuring their beads being made, as well as to a breathtaking catwalk of models wearing gorgeous outfits and jewellery.

We were impressed by Kokkino’s enticing Shimmer collection, utilising gold and silver plating to create gorgeous gradient colour, and by Farah Qureshi’s latest designs.

Rachel Galley’s launch of her LUXE collection took our breath away- utilising a stunning combination of diamonds with chic architectural lines, she has cleverly crafted three pieces into her statement Unity Trilogy Ring.

Another year draws to a close but as always, we’re excited by what we see. We will continue to draw inspiration from designers and trends around the World and look forward to discovering even more talent next year.

Lolo and Galago’s Head Designer: Amira Hatta

Our ethos at Lolo and Galago is to create Ladies jewellery filled with inspiration from international locations and trends, ensuring every designer piece you wear seamlessly crafts elegance and luxury with cutting edge style.

Scouring the globe for inspiration, we also work with many international designers, and are thrilled to announce that Amira Hatta will head up design at Lolo and Galago.

Amira’s earlier work includes ground breaking pieces purchased by Royalty and Celebrities from Russia to the Middle East, where she worked on some of the world’s most expensive jewellery and gemstones. Having learnt her designer skills at the prestigious St Martin’s university, Amira’s extensive experience with ladies jewellery allows her to combine the elegance and luxury associated with traditional fine jewellery with statement, fashionable trends.

Amira’s main work at Lolo and Galago is to work with our London based team to draw inspiration from global styles and trends and to apply it to our jewellery collections. Working with our goldsmiths, she then monitors our jewellery production from concept right through to final production, allowing us to ensure the highest quality fine jewellery that can be enjoyed for years to come.
